Machine Shop Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to oversee daily machining operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for leading shop personnel, coordinating production activities, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring schedules are met safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support machinists, CNC operators, and shop personnel on a daily basis.
- Coordinate workflow and production schedules to meet customer and business requirements.
- Monitor productivity, quality, scrap, and downtime while driving continuous improvement efforts.
- Assist with machine setups, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and promote a safe working environment.
- Review work orders, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate production.
- Train, coach, and develop employees while conducting performance evaluations.
- Work closely with engineering, quality, maintenance, and production planning teams.
- Maintain staffing levels and allocate resources to meet production goals.
- Track and communicate key performance metrics.
Qualifications
- 3 years of supervisory experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining operations, tooling, setups, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Experience managing schedules, workflow, and employee performance.
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office preferred.
