We’re looking for a Design Director to lead and elevate the creative output of a digital design agency working across web, mobile, and tablet experiences. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of craft, systems thinking, and user experience—someone who can guide teams to produce work that is both visually compelling and highly functional.
You’ll oversee multidisciplinary design teams, shape design direction across projects, and partner closely with product, engineering, and client stakeholders to deliver best-in-class digital experiences.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of designers across product, UX/UI, and visual design
- Define and uphold a high bar for design quality across all platforms (web, mobile, tablet)
- Translate business and user needs into clear, compelling design strategies and outputs
- Oversee the end-to-end design process—from concept through execution and delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and strategists
- Present work to clients and stakeholders, articulating design decisions with clarity and confidence
- Establish scalable design systems and frameworks across projects
- Contribute to new business efforts, including pitches and proposals
What We’re Looking For
- 8 years of experience in digital design, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role
- Strong portfolio showcasing work across web, mobile, and responsive platforms
- Deep expertise in UX/UI, interaction design, and visual systems
- Proven experience leading and mentoring design teams
- Strong understanding of product design principles and user-centered design methodologies
- Ability to balance hands-on design work with strategic leadership
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience working in agency or fast-paced, client-facing environments
Nice to Have
- Experience building and scaling design systems
- Familiarity with motion design and prototyping tools
- Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design
- Exposure to emerging technologies (AI, AR/VR, etc.)
Salary : $190,000 - $200,000
