What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Manager - Child Welfare and Family Justice position at New York State Unified Court System?
The New York State Unified Court System is seeking a Senior Management Analyst to serve as the Program Manager in the Office for Justice Initiatives, Division of Child Welfare and Family Justice. There is one position available in the Division of Child Welfare and Family Justice. This position will support the development and implementation of policies and initiatives that enhance judicial and legal practices related to child welfare and family justice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a diverse team of 2-3 employees within NYC Region.
- Ensuring strategic goals and objectives are met.
- Collaborating with judges, attorneys, child welfare agencies, youth and parents impacted by the child welfare system, and other stakeholders to improve court processes and outcomes for children and families.
- Supporting court compliance with federal and state child welfare laws, including the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) and other relevant regulations.
- Representing the Office for Justice Initiatives at state and national meetings, conferences, and workgroups.
- Monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of child welfare Court Improvement Program (CIP) projects, recommending improvements and innovative practices.
- Supporting leadership in two critical areas of the division: Program Development and Implementation and Education/Training and Grant Management.
- This position requires on-site presence, located in NYC regional office, and some travel is required.
Qualifications: One year in the Management Analyst title; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of relevant experience; or An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Base Salary: $110,853 $4,920 Location Pay
