Duties Description
Answer phones and emails related to Mass Mail. Assign Mailroom's Service Request to various DOH programs for mailings that go out through the Mass Mail Unit. Input the information on a spreadsheet and keep up to date. Create billing memos and send to programs. Run SSI letters on the inserter daily, within established timeframe to meet deadlines from time of receipt to time of mail out. Run mail inserter machine when required and learn how to trouble shoot the inserter before calling a service technician. Learn and run all machines used in the Mass Mail Unit. Work closely with DOH Print Shop on yearly mailings sent out through the Mass Mail Unit. Track and keep all spreadsheets up to date.

To be eligible for appointment, candidates must meet one of following conditions as detailed below:

There are no minimum education or experience requirements for this title.
Transfer
One year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55 B/C service allocated to a Grade 5 or higher eligible for transfer and deemed administrative under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law; OR in a title approved for transfer under Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades.
