The New York School of Design Seeks a Student Enrollment Coordinator
The New York School of Design (NYSD) is seeking a highly motivated and organized Student Enrollment Coordinator to join our growing team. In this dynamic on-site role located in Midtown Manhattan, you will play a key role in attracting talented students to our fashion design programs.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment: This includes:
- Recruitment channels - Conducting research to identify qualified leads and actively recruit students through various channels, including college fairs, phone calls, emails, and virtual presentations.
- Social media - Collaborating on social media campaigns (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Linked, TikTok), using social media software such as Hootsuite, and Sprout social
- Promotional materials - Generating engaging email marketing content using Canva, HubSpot, Adobe Express, and Later.
Student Admissions and Advisement: This includes:
- Admissions - Conducting informative and engaging admission interviews with prospective students to assess their potential and suitability for NYSD programs and guiding them through the application process.
- Advisement - Providing prospective students with comprehensive program information and answering questions about admissions, visa, and housing requirements.
- Student Records - Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records in our applicant tracking system (ATS), enrollment and payment data, and ensure all documentation is properly recorded and filed.
- Additional Responsibilities: Assist Marketing Manager and School Director with program events, open houses, and other student recruitment initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Academic - Minimally, an associate’s degree, although a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or design field.
- Experience in marketing and social media communication. Experience in student recruitment or admissions, preferably within the art and design programs is preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Strong writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
- Social media proficiency in platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva and some knowledge of HubSpot for email marketing and media/enrollment analysis
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
