The Senior Accountant will report to the Director, Accounting and play a key role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting that supports organizational success. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Assist with forecasting and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies.
Support external audits and liaise with auditors as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Maintain and continuously improve internal controls and accounting processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA preferred but not required.
3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Business Central, Great Plains, or similar) and Microsoft Excel skills.
Innovative problem-solver with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, lead initiatives, and meet deadlines in a team-oriented environment.
Job Location: On-site in Florham Park, NJ (Atlantic Health Jets Training Center)
Salary range for this role: USD $75,000 to $90,000 per year and discretionary annual company bonus, dependent on the specific qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
