New Tech Global is seeking a skilled and dependable Service Technician for a new client located in Greensburg, PA. This is a hands-on, primarily mechanical role focused on the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment. The position is based in the shop, with occasional outdoor work and travel to job sites as needed.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical experience working with machinery and equipment, along with a solid troubleshooting mindset. Prior service technician experience is highly preferred and considered essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial equipment
- Install, test, and service machinery and provide proper usage instructions
- Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques
- Service shop vehicles and ensure they are clean and well-maintained
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper storage of equipment in the shop
- Complete accurate service documentation and reports
- Respond to inquiries and provide technical support as needed
- Travel to job sites to perform service and maintenance when required
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking and tracking supplies
- Support warehouse organization and job setup/take-down activities
- Collaborate with team members across departments
Equipment Experience Preferred:
- Dust collectors
- Industrial vacuums
- Air compressors
- Sandblasting equipment / blast pots
- Engines and motors (diesel experience is a plus)
Qualifications:
- Hands-on mechanical experience repairing and maintaining machinery or equipment
- Previous Service Technician experience (field or shop) strongly preferred
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills (engines, motors, moving parts)
- Comfortable working primarily on mechanical systems (minimal electrical work, low voltage 12V)
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of repairs
- Must have own tools
- Valid driver’s license required
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments preferred
- Trade school or technical training is a plus
