Role Description
The Inventory Cycle Counter is a full-time, on-site role based in Lincoln, AL. This role is responsible for performing regular cycle counts, verifying inventory levels, and ensuring inventory accuracy within warehouse and storage areas. Daily tasks include reconciling inventory discrepancies, supporting physical inventory audits, and documenting findings in inventory management systems. The Inventory Cycle Counter collaborates with shipping and receiving teams to confirm incoming and outgoing materials, verifies labeling and storage locations, and ensures materials handling follows company safety and quality standards. The role may also involve operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment in compliance with safety guidelines, supporting continuous improvement efforts, and communicating issues or process enhancements to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Inventory Accuracy and Inventory Control to maintain precise stock records and address discrepancies effectively.
- Candidates should possess skills in Physical Inventory to support regular cycle counts and full inventory audits.
- Candidates should possess skills in Shipping & Receiving to coordinate material movements and verify inbound and outbound shipments.
- Candidates should possess skills in Forklift Operation to safely move, stack, and organize materials in warehouse environments.
- Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and proficiency with inventory or warehouse management systems.
- Ability to follow safety procedures, work on-site in a fast-paced warehouse setting, and lift or move materials as required.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with logistics, warehouse, and management teams.
- Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing environments is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is beneficial.
- Computer skills- Microsoft Office; GCCS/GPCS
- Successful completion of Microsoft Assessment Test will be required
- Must be able and willing to work any shift, hours, holidays, weekends, or overtime as needed
