Our client, a growing mid-size digital technology solutions company located near Schaumburg, IL, is seeking an onsite Senior Accountant for a 3–6 month project. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys being hands-on, collaborating face-to-face with leadership, and delivering immediate value during a key business period.
What You’ll Be Doing:
In this onsite Senior Accountant role, you will support day-to-day and project-based accounting initiatives, including:
- Supporting the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reviews
- Working daily in QuickBooks for reporting
- Preparing and analyzing financial statements and variances
- Maintaining accuracy of the general ledger in compliance with GAAP
- Performing balance sheet and bank reconciliations
- Assisting with audit preparation and responding to auditor requests
- Partnering closely with the accounting team and leadership on special projects and process improvements
- Providing additional coverage and support during the engagement period
- Working closely with newly hired accountant and reporting to the controller
What We’re Looking For:
- 2.5 - 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a small-mid-size company environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting
- Proven experience with technical accounting process
- ERP system experience ideal as well as QuickBooks and strong Excel skills
- Ability and willingness to work onsite near Schaumburg, IL
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to meet project deadlines – needs very limited supervision
