Our client, a growing CPA firm in the northern suburbs, boasts a team of 45 professionals working with a variety of clients and industries. They are looking to grow their bookkeeping and accounting team with talent that is excited about working with clients and enjoys problem solving.
What you’ll do:
- Play a central role on the client accounting team by performing intermediate- to experienced-level accounting functions.
- Follow general accounting rules, principles, and procedures in day-to-day work.
- Identify client needs and pain points and use accounting knowledge to uncover potential issues.
- Gather information needed to clean up client books, including reconciliations, closings, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and financial statements.
- Work closely with clients to resolve issues and maintain accurate books on an ongoing basis.
- Build trust and foster strong client partnerships through consistent support and communication.

What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience: 3 years in a bookkeeping or accounting position, preferably in public accounting
- Skills: Strong proficiency QuickBooks (ProAdvisor required to be up to date each year) as well as experience with tax software a plus; Microsoft Office Suite, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity or experience handling payroll.
- Client Interaction: Ability to work well and build strong trusted relationships with clients.
