New Path Construction & Consulting is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Architect to lead the design, documentation, and execution of commercial construction projects across multiple markets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing projects from initial concept and design through permitting, construction administration, and project closeout.
This position requires a strong design and technical background, extensive proficiency in Revit, and the ability to coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams. The Project Architect will play a key role in developing construction documents, overseeing project delivery, and ensuring design intent is maintained throughout construction.
Qualifications
- Professional degree in Architecture required
- Licensed Architect preferred (or actively pursuing licensure)
- Minimum 5 years of commercial architectural experience preferred
- Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and applicable building codes
- Extensive proficiency in Revit required
- Experience producing complete construction document sets
- Experience coordinating Structural, MEP, Civil, and specialty consultants
- Strong knowledge of permitting and jurisdictional review processes
- Experience providing Construction Administration services
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, visualization software, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects through all phases of design, documentation, permitting, and construction administration
- Develop architectural designs, space planning concepts, and technical solutions for commercial projects
- Produce and manage complete Revit models and construction document packages
- Coordinate and integrate Structural, MEP, Civil, and specialty consultant drawings into project documents
- Conduct code research and ensure compliance with applicable building, accessibility, and life safety requirements
- Participate in client meetings and assist with project programming, design development, and presentations
- Manage project schedules, deliverables, and consultant coordination throughout the project lifecycle
- Review shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and product data during construction
- Perform site observations and document construction progress throughout the duration of the project
- Prepare field reports, ASIs, sketches, and other construction administration documentation as required
- Work closely with contractors, owners, and consultants to resolve field conditions and maintain project momentum
- Ensure design intent, quality standards, and project objectives are maintained through project completion
- Mentor and support junior architectural staff as needed
