New North Citizen’s Council, Inc. (NNCC) is seeking a Career Exploration Coordinator to join our Career Exploration Program. Under the supervision of the Career Exploration Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of a dynamic youth workforce development program, supervising Youth Support Specialists and engaging youth ages 14–25. This role is central to building bridges between young people and a network of community partners, including healthcare providers, behavioral health agencies, employers, and public institutions, to foster long-term career success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand and apply principles, methods, procedures, and strategies utilized in the development of a comprehensive program designed to empower and educate youth & young adults for long term career success through workforce development best practices.
- Work collaboratively on law enforcement, health care and social service teams.
- Responsible for the leadership in the program day to day operations.
- Insure the implementation of evidence-based services with Youth Support Specialists.
· Knowledgeable in computers and their programs i.e. Windows, Excel, Internet usage, etc.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews through pop-up site visits, file audits, etc.
· Interact with collaborative partners.
· Build Career Exploration Partnerships.
- Write project reports, main electronic and hard copies of project files.
- Responsible for implementation of all project’s social media activities.
· Assist staff with conducting activities related to evaluation and present findings.
· Participate in meetings, including individual/group clinical team meetings.
- Must be able to travel to mandatory grantee meeting and intervention trainings.
- Implement other projects, activities, or job duties as assigned.
PAY – Nonexempt: $45,000 - $50,000 per year (depending on experience)
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree.
· Certified Alcohol/Addiction Counselor preferred.
· Understand and apply principles, methods, procedures, and strategies utilized in the development of a comprehensive program designed to reduce and/or prevent problems associated with youth violence such as drug, alcohol, tobacco use, gang involvement, teen pregnancy, HIV/STI’s, mental illness and unintentional injury prevention.
· Work collaboratively on law enforcement, health care and social service teams.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, parents, and employees.
- Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
