Why does the job exist?
Incumbent's purpose in this position will be to assist the Director of Finance with the day-to-day operations of the Financial Management Department which consists of Accounts Payable, Data Processing, Purchasing, Admissions, Contracts, Budgets and direct supervision of Accounts Receivable.
How does it get done?
Incumbent will ensure the maintaining records, files, and supporting documentation according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and in compliance with State and Federal regulations. Supervise Accounts Receivable Department (Collection of Revenues, Denied Claims Processing, Timekeeping, Performance Evaluations, Disciplinary Actions, Distribution of Assignments, etc.)

Ideal Candidate
Ideal candidate will have:
Experience as a supervisor.
Experience implementing policies procedures and competency;
Experience with being compliant with state, Federal and JCAHO Standards;
Experience with Accounts Payable, Data Processing, Purchasing, Admissions, Contracts, Budgets and Accounts Receivable.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in accounting, economics, finance, or business administration and five (5) years of experience in accounting, finance, economics, and/or statistical analysis. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling nine (9) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess a valid Driver's License
Working Conditions
Work is performed in a law enforcement office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer, phone usage and extended periods of sitting. This position may require travel, and may occasionally work extra hours, on weekends and holidays.
