Incumbent will provide meaningful/therapeutic activities to all nursing home residents of the Long-Term Care (LTC) Division.
How does it get done?
Incumbents will provide meaningful/therapeutic and age appropriate activities to nursing home residents as indicated in the residents treatment plan and recreation assessment.

Patients/Residents/Clients
Ideal Candidate
Ideal candidate will have:
Experience working with treatment teams;
Experience working with nursing home residents;
Experience working with ambulatory and wheelchair bound residents.
Minimum Qualification
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Drivers License.
Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate.
Position will perform work in both community base setting and in an office setting with computer, phone usage and exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal(VDT). Lifting up to thirty (30) pounds may be required. Effective 01/01/2015, the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute became a 100% Tobacco Free/E-Cigarette Free Campus. As such, no tobacco, tobacco products or E-Cigarette products are permitted on any part of the campus. Work department is Long Term Care. Shift 8 am to 5 pm.
