Job Summary
To serve New Life Church by providing co-laboring with the Kids Director/Pastor, Kids Ministry volunteers, children, and families to provide a fun, safe, and edifying environment at New Life Midtown.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee general operations of at least one of the two Sunday morning services
- Uphold ministry-wide policy and procedures and standard classroom procedures.
- Assist with volunteer training, and welcoming and orienting new families to Kids Ministry.
- Prepare lessons, materials, supplies, and classrooms for Sunday Kids Ministry.
- Maintain clean, organized classrooms, toys, and supply areas.
- Support ministry operations by submitting room roster reports, following up with new families, and helping identify and resolve challenges.
- Provide leadership and training for Crew Captains and Check-In teams
- Serve in a classroom when necessary.
- Communicate injuries, medical concerns, behavioral issues, and specific care needs of children and families to the Kids Director/Pastor.
- Assist with child check-in/check-out
- Manage and respond to calls and emails as needed.
- Assist the department in coordinating various tasks and procedures.
- Communicate regularly with supervisor about departmental issues.
- Assist supervisor with special projects, events, and diverse tasks in support of the department.
- Attend department meetings, regular all-staff meetings and other meetings as required.
- Utilize a thorough understanding of New Life Church employee policies and procedures.
- Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment.
- Cooperate with leadership by performing any other duties when asked to do so.

Education and Experience
Education: High School Diploma or GED required
Experience: 1-2 years of related experience

Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
