Responsibilities

• Manage classroom environments effectively through behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques to ensure safety and positive interactions.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children’s progress, behavior, and developmental achievements to foster strong partnerships.
• Plan engaging lesson plans aligned with early intervention principles and standardized testing where applicable to monitor progress.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting any concerns related to child welfare or safety issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning while adhering to health and safety standards such as first aid and CPR certifications.

Skills

• Extensive experience working with children across various age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and Montessori methods.
• Proven ability in curriculum development tailored to early intervention strategies and literacy education.
• Skilled in classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and effective learning environments.
• Excellent communication skills for parent engagement, team collaboration, and conveying instructions clearly.
• Familiarity with special education needs and adapting lessons for children requiring additional support.
• Experience with daycare or private school settings, including classroom experience in early childhood education environments.
• Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare concerns.
• Ability to plan lessons that incorporate physical activities, math concepts, and standardized assessments when necessary.
• Certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred to ensure safety during all activities.

Pay: $10.50 - $12.00 per hour
