The Accounting Technician assists our finance team in day-to-day activities in support of our projects. The primary functions of the Accounting Technician are to assist with Purchasing and Accounts Receivable as well as administrative duties. Employment will be at our main office located in Palmer, Alaska.

Job Summary
The Accounting Technician assists our finance team in day-to-day activities in support of our projects. The primary functions of the Accounting Technician are to assist with Purchasing and Accounts Receivable as well as administrative duties. Employment will be at our main office located in Palmer, Alaska.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter Purchase Orders and assist Purchasing Manager with administrative tasks.
- Work with Purchasing Manager to resolve pricing and delivery of goods as well as discrepancies within Purchase Orders.
- Maintain accurate inventory locations through labeling and organization of materials within the warehouse.
- Perform daily cycle counts and verify physical inventory against system records while monitoring discrepancies.
- Stock and restock warehouse shelves and identify materials requiring replenishment
- Load and unload incoming materials and complete receiving documentation.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and stock labeling.
- Assist with the preparation of timely and accurate billings to customers operating on various billing schedules.
- Assist project managers with invoicing, billing schedules and general financial account management.
- Cross-training and back-up with areas in the Finance Department
- High School Diploma Required.
- Associate’s degree in business administration, Finance, or Accounting preferred, but not required.
- Must have basic accounting skills and knowledge of computer-based software, Sage Intacct experience preferred, but not required.
- 3 years’ accounts payable, or general accounting experience required.
- Must have strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills.
- Previous experience with construction firms is preferred but not required.
- Must have strong organization and communication skills
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Must be able to work under the pressure of deadlines
- This position is open only to candidates who currently reside in Alaska due to business and employment compliance requirements.
