Compensation & Benefits:
$24.99 per hour starting pay, paid weekly.

Responsible for Slicing/forking process and bagging of finished product according to specifiations/standards. Responsible for quality control inspections that support food safety and food quality plans.
Summary Of Essential Job Functions
As Packaging Lead:
- Responsible for ensuring product meets set food safety and quality specifications, and reporting nonconformances
- Make sure product is properly forked or sliced.
- Give breaks and rotate line workers.
- Must understand and do all variety change overs.
- Make sure packages are properly sealed.
- Set up tray line for different product runs during change over or shut down.
- List and place full rolls of poly on packers (50 to 65 lbs./4 to 6 times per shift).
- Change slicer blades as needed and in a safe manner using PPE.
- Clear out pack-stack when backed up.
- Dump full barrels (trash, scrap) into proper containers.
- Check dough schedule recap report and or tally sheet for production run information.
- Set up machines for variety according to specifications.
- Test and verify the metal detector according the the approved procedure.
- Perform quality checks to ensure product meets specifications encluding line clearance check.
- Ensure catch pans are in place.
- Ensure blue gloves are in supply to handle finished product.
- Keep area clean, sweeping floor and emptying crumb catch pans as needed.

- Empty baked rejects, and floor sweepings into proper waste containers.
- Responsible for maintaining good safety practices at all times.
- Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping in the work area.
- Responsible for following all GMP’s.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervision.
- Make sure coding is legible and lot number is correct.
- Complete lot number traceability paperwork.
- Communicate with coworkers/pull away.
- Report to work as scheduled.
- Maintain equipment and tools in a food safe manner.
- Maintain documentation. Follow corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure CQPs are performed properly and at set frequency.
- Ensure all products have met pre-shipment requirements.
- Properly reads, comprehends and completed required forms and documents.
- Reports and takes necessary action to prevent food safety, legality and quality problems from occurring.
- Follows and enforces programs and procedures outlined in the Food Safety and Quality Manual to support compliance with the GFSI Standard and other third party audits.
- Able to lift and carry 50 lbs. Able maneuver and work in confined spaces with variations in temperature, humidity and air quality. Able to climb ladders. Must be able to read and write; must be able to perform basic math. Able to communicate and work effectively with all employees. Able to follow written and verbal instructions in a timely manner. Must observe and understand all company rules, follow all safety programs, wear proper Personal Equipment (PPE) during the performance of job duties, and work in a safe manner at all times.
