Duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents .
- Administer medications, following established protocols and ensuring residents safety.
- Conduct thorough resident assessments by monitoring vital signs, performing physical examinations, and evaluating symptoms to inform treatment plans.
- Document all patient interactions accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Support residents with complex conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or those requiring memory or hospice care, ensuring compassionate and respectful treatment.
Requirements
- Valid LPN/RN license in good standing with the state licensing board.
- Strong background working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in specialized areas like Alzheimer’s or memory care.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner, Epic, or Athenahealth for accurate documentation.
- Experience administering injections, and utilizing other medical equipment.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Ability to work independently during weekends while maintaining excellent communication with healthcare teams.
