Details
- This position is responsible for completing all applications for payer plans for purposes of billing and reimbursement for health care services. This includes incorporation of information gathered from the credentialing process. The Provider Enrollment Specialist is responsible for coordinating, monitoring and maintaining the provider enrollment and re-enrollment process in a timely and compliant manner with all government and commercial plans.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of Associate Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related fields
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in provider enrollment, revenue cycle management or provider credentialing
- Proficiency in Computer Skills (Excel, Databases, Microsoft Office Suite).
- Knowledge of insurance regulation and compliance.
- Experience with PECOS and the utilization of the SC Healthy Connections portal.
- Main high levels of organization while being extremely focused on detail.
- Must be able to prioritize work tasks.
- Must be able to maintain composure and professionalism under circumstances that may become stressful.
- Displays good manual dexterity, ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, change from sitting to standing positions with ease, has good visual acuity.
- Has ability to understand and follow in detail both verbal and written instructions.
- Has ability to display flexibility as work flows change.
- Maintains a neat/well-organized work area.
- Maintains adequate amount of supplies.
