Key responsibilities:
- Foster a welcoming, respectful atmosphere for all guests, staff, and volunteers
- Recognize and respond to tense or escalating situations calmly and constructively, using de-escalation and conflict-resolution techniques
- Maintain awareness of the environment and help ensure the physical safety and security of everyone on site
- Build rapport and trust with guests, meeting people where they are with patience and dignity
- Partner with staff to connect guests to appropriate resources and support
- Respond appropriately to crisis or emergency situations and know when to involve additional support

Qualifications:
- Experience working with vulnerable or underserved populations in a community, ministry, healthcare, or social-services setting
- Demonstrated de-escalation, crisis-response, or conflict-management skills
- Ability to remain composed and exercise sound judgment in unpredictable or high-pressure situations
- A background in law enforcement, military, security, behavioral health, social work, or crisis intervention is a strong plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to people across a wide range of backgrounds and circumstances
- Alignment with New Hope's mission and values
