Adult Education Teacher

New Hope Ministries, a respected Christian social service agency is seeking a qualified individual to provide instruction for adults pursuing their GED.  This program provides instruction using an established curriculum and will have support from agency staff and volunteer tutors.  Key responsibilities include administering assessments, presenting subject material, and providing individual support during scheduled class times.  The position requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree, relevant teaching experience, and a desire to make a difference in the lives of others.  This is a part-time position with 6-8 hours each week expected in the evenings.  The right candidate must be willing to travel between our Hanover location and Mechanicsburg locations where the classes are held.

Qualifications:

• Shall be a Christian who agrees with the Statement of Faith, as found in the By-laws for New Hope Ministries
• Possess a driver's license and clean driving record
• Shall have at least a minimum of a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in formal education and career experience.
• Shall demonstrate good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Shall have appropriate training and experience teaching adult education.
• Obtain and maintain 1st Aid and CPR training.
• Must obtain and maintain child abuse clearances.
• Must obtain and maintain mandated reporter child abuse training and serve as a mandated reporter.
