We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate male direct support professional (DSP) to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and other special needs. Duties
- Provide direct care and supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Assist participants with activities of daily living as needed.
- Support individuals during community outings and recreational activities.
- Implement ISP goals and document progress accurately.
- Complete daily service notes and required Medicaid documentation.
- Monitor participant health, safety, and behavior.
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and personal hygiene when necessary.
- Encourage social interaction, independence, and community participation.
- Transport participants when required.
- Report incidents, accidents, injuries, or behavioral concerns promptly.
- Maintain professional communication with families, staff, and supervisors.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Valid Georgia driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willing to obtain.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
