Duties
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely transport participants to and from the day program.
- Assist participants entering and exiting vehicles when needed.
- Ensure all passengers are secured according to safety requirements.
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after routes.
- Maintain accurate transportation logs and mileage records.
- Follow all state and company transportation policies.
- Communicate effectively with families, staff, and supervisors.
- Report accidents, incidents, vehicle concerns, or participant issues immediately.
- Maintain a professional and respectful attitude toward participants and families.
- Keep company vehicles clean and fueled.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid Georgia Driver's License.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience preferred.
- Experience transporting individuals with disabilities, seniors, or special needs preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and MVR review.
- CPR/First Aid Certification preferred (or willing to obtain).
- Dependable attendance and punctuality required.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on compassionate care for special needs individuals requiring special assistance or accommodations.
