Position Summary: The Center Coordinator will oversee the daily operations of the special programs within the school, ensuring that all activities run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves coordinating resources, supporting staff, and collaborating with students and families to foster a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resource Coordination: Manage materials, supplies, and equipment for programs, ensuring availability and proper usage.
- Transportation Support: Provides in-service transportation training, creates and implements transportation schedules, and completes maintenance logs
- Collaboration: Work closely with school administration, educators, and external partners to ensure alignment of program goals and initiatives.
- Employee Records Management: · Maintain and update employee records in HR databases, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy. Organize and file employee files, contracts, and other documents.
- Financial Support: Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks, such as processing invoices and expense reports as well as payroll.
- Job Coach: Guides NEW BOCES students in completing vocational and behavior goals (e.g. personal interactions, daily work tasks, personal hygiene, etc.). Provide on-the-job training, and support to students to understand job tasks, workplace expectations, communication, resume writing skills, and more.
- Designated backup: Serves as a backup in transportation support, kitchen support, and medication administration
Qualifications & Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in education, social work, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience preferred in educational settings, particularly with special programs or special education.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in office software and data management tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
- Familiarity with special education preferred
- Experience with human resources preferred
- Experience with business office responsibilities preferred
- Experience as a job coach preferred

Working Conditions:
· Working hours will be 7am-3:30pm Monday through Friday
