Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Process Engineer to join our Golden Sunlight site. The Process Engineer will support operations and projects with a focus on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. This role will lead small to medium-sized projects from planning through commissioning, while driving operational excellence and supporting our core values.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong, visible leadership, modeling and supporting NGM's DNA (Core Values).
• Implement operational and maintenance strategies to achieve cost savings while effectively managing forecasted and budgeted expenditures.
• Build and maintain productive partnerships with key vendors and OEMs to drive equipment and process improvements.
• Develop and monitor operating KPIs to identify and eliminate process bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Lead the execution of small to medium-sized projects, including planning, justification, design, approval, construction, and commissioning.
• Identify and implement debottlenecking strategies to optimize performance.
• Prepare process flow sheets to highlight gaps between nameplate capacity and actual performance.
• Support all project stages, from scoping, prefeasibility, and feasibility through execution, construction, and commissioning.
• Provide design input to engineering consultants and assist with equipment, supply, and contract procurement.
• Develop and present capital funding requests for processing improvements.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders—including operations, environmental, safety, and project sponsors—throughout project life cycles.
• Ensure all projects are designed and executed with safety as the highest priority.
• Proactively manage projects to achieve quality, schedule, budget, and safety objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering required; four-year degree with project management focus or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of practical operations experience, ideally in mining or heavy industry.
• Knowledge of mineral processing operations and construction required.
• Project management knowledge and experience managing contractors/contract administration preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project) required; AutoCAD proficiency preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills required.
• Proven ability to lead with a focus on safety, demonstrating safety leadership for self and team.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and collaboration skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the role
