What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audio Visual (AV) Technician - Dallas position at Network Cabling Services (NCS)?
NCS is looking for a qualified Audio Visual (AV) Technician in the Dallas area. This is a full time opportunity with full benefits and opportunity for training, development and career advancement!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of an Audio Video (AV) Technician:
- Deliver and install equipment including audio, video, control, video conferencing, equipment racks.
- Run cabling through walls, ceilings, floors and other building structure.
- Terminate cables with required connectors using solder, compression, crimp, insulation displacement, and other termination methods.
- Load and wire equipment racks and other furniture with AV equipment.
- Mount screens, projectors, displays, lifts, speakers and other AV equipment from wall or ceiling structure.
- Perform basic testing of cables and equipment to ensure proper termination and proper system performance.
- Work with the Lead Installation Technician, OSPM, or other co-workers to ensure the system is installed appropriately in the required timeframe.
- Provide status updates as required to the customer, or other co-workers.
- Perform all functions of the position and other duties that may be assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Required of an Audio Video (AV) Technician:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous AV, Communications, or General Construction Experience is required.
- Installation experience in either the AV or Communications industry is preferred.

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
