Position Title: Social Worker

Location: Fort Walton Beach, FL

Shift Hours: Typically 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM; may vary to 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM or 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Pay Range -$24- $33 Per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Social Worker (MSW) to join our inpatient care team. This role involves providing non-clinical, biopsychosocial assessments and interventions across inpatient units and the outpatient emergency department. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to patient- and family-centered care, driven by problem-solving and critical thinking, and comfortable working across various specialized units.

Qualifications:

• Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) – Required
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year recent acute care social work experience – Required
• Licensure/Certification: LCSW not required
• Preferred Background: Hospital setting, insurance companies (e.g., Humana), or county-level social work experience

Requirements:

• Must have experience in discharge planning
• Experience with PASSRs and ESPERS
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency and multitask effectively
• High level of organization and attention to detail
• Must be comfortable with emotionally charged situations (e.g., end-of-life care, crisis intervention)
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care regulations
