Job Title: Engineering Administrator
Location: Orange, CT 06477
Duration: 3 Months (With extension)
Shift: 08.00 am – 04.00 pm
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/manufacturing related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working in an Engineering Administration capacity in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated technical judgment/accomplishments, project management, team collaboration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience with ERP systems is highly preferred.
- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines is required.
Responsibilities:
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP)
- BOM and Routing Management: Create, update, and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routing sequences for all products.
- This includes defining components, materials, and the step-by-step process to manufacture a product.
- Item Master Data: Manage and maintain item master data, which includes crucial information such as lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQs).
- Change Control: Process and implement engineering changes (ECNs/PCNs) by updating BOMs, routings, and item master data accordingly.
- Troubleshooting where required. - Data integrity and accuracy.
- Record keeping: Maintain all relevant documentation, such as databases and change logs via ERP & Monday.Com
Description:
- The Engineering Administrator (BOM Routing Administrator) is responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining all data related to product components (BOM) and manufacturing processes (Routing) QAD Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- This includes ensuring accuracy, managing changes, and collaborating with engineering, accounting, customer service, procurement, and production teams to minimize errors, reduce delays, and support cost-effective manufacturing.
- Role will assist and oversee the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, processes and tooling for new and existing products.
- This support will include learning to utilize sound technical knowledge of materials, processes, techniques and products to improve process performance and to reduce costs, to maximize production, and support new knowledge.
- The incumbent assistance in managing documents and projects effectively under moderate supervision by a technical leader demonstrates an open and collaborative approach in all areas of responsibility, and seeks out others to enhance knowledge and streamline development and decision making.
