Title: Inpatient Social Worker
Location: Jackson, MI 49201
Duration: 15 Weeks Contract (Strong possibility of Extension)
Shifts: 8a-4:30p Rotating Schedule, 2-3 weekends per month required
Pay Range: $30 to $34/hr. On W2

Duties
Job Description:
- The Social Worker works with the psychiatrist and interdisciplinary team in developing and managing treatment plans.
- Serves as liaison in relation to patient care and needs, between the hospital, community, and insurers to facilitate access to clinical treatment for individuals.
- Provides social services to both adult and child/adolescent patients.
- Services include but are not limited to bio-psychosocial assessments, discharge planning, individual and family education and group.
- Therapy Social Workers provides individual, conjoint, group and family psychotherapy; in addition to crisis intervention services, as needed.
- Ensures that the quality of care is safe, effective, patient centered timely, efficient and equitable.
- Social workers also serve on designated committees and as qualified, may serve as field instructors for social work.
- 2-3 years social work experience.
- Master's from accredited school of social work.
- Current LMSW certification.
- Previous travel experience.
- Previous recent inpatient behavioral health experience.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to perform intake assessment.
- Experience leading groups.
- Experience charting in EMR/EMH system.
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective social work care plans.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional social work services.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
- EPIC charting experience.
- Discharge planning experience.
- 27 bed unit with average caseload of 4-8 patients dependent upon current census.
- Candidates will be required to have weekend availability as that is one of the main gaps in staffing that we are looking to fill.
