Estimator / Project Manager

Overview
A well-established industrial services company is seeking an experienced Estimator / Project Manager to support both pre-construction and project execution efforts. This individual will play a key role in generating accurate estimates, managing customer relationships, and overseeing projects from initial scope through completion.
This is a hands-on position that blends estimating, field coordination, and full-cycle project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed, accurate cost estimates based on customer scope, site conditions, and project requirements
- Manage projects from kickoff through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Conduct site visits and job walks to gather necessary information for estimating and execution
- Coordinate with field teams, operations, and leadership to align labor, equipment, and materials
- Monitor project budgets, including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs
- Troubleshoot project challenges and implement solutions to prevent recurring issues
- Oversee subcontractors and ensure proper execution of scope
- Maintain strong client relationships throughout the lifecycle of each project
- Handle bidding, contracts, and project documentation
Qualifications
- Experience in estimating and project management within industrial construction, mechanical, or related trades
- Strong background in field operations, preferably with exposure to piping, HVAC, or similar systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and develop material takeoffs
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Preferred Background
- Experience in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing (MEP) environments
- Prior supervisory or field leadership experience
- Familiarity with industrial maintenance or construction projects
