HSE Facilities Lead (EHS Facilities Lead)
Contract: 1-Year
Schedule: M–F, 7:30am–4:00pm (flex start between 7:30–8:00am)
Pay Range: Min. $35/hr (negotiable based on experience)
Overview:
The HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) Facilities Lead supports the Operations Manager in overseeing daily facility operations, maintenance activities, and contractor performance at a manufacturing site while maintaining strict compliance with safety and environmental regulations. This role plays a key part in ensuring regulatory adherence, conducting safety inspections, leading incident investigations, and supporting emergency preparedness and sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with implementing and maintaining HSE management systems, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct regular facility inspections and audits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Identify workplace hazards, perform risk assessments, and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead or assist in investigations of accidents, injuries, and near‑miss incidents; develop and track corrective/preventive actions.
- Organize and deliver HSE training programs and orientations.
Facilities Management:
- Oversee building operations and infrastructure such as HVAC, fire alarms, security systems, safety equipment, and general maintenance.
- Support budgeting and planning for facility repairs, maintenance, and sustainability initiatives.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including drills and response plans.
Vendor & Contractor Oversight:
- Assist in managing vendor and contractor relationships.
- Support contract negotiation and ensure all contractors comply with facility and safety requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Associate degree or higher
- 2–5 years of combined facility management and HSE experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of OSHA standards, environmental regulations, and building codes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management software.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
Preferred Skills
- SAP and Ariba experience (plus).
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
Work Environment & Conditions
- 100% onsite – office and manufacturing environment.
- No travel, no on‑call rotation, no shift work.
- No offshore/medical certificates required.
- Non‑driving role.
