Note: We are looking for someone with current diving experience, even if you recently obtained your Open Water certification.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly, providing expert advice on dive gear, accessories, guided dives/boat dives and certification courses
- Book dive boat tours and communicate with team ensuring availability
- Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to ensure the shop is inviting and well-organized, and support inventory management by tracking stock levels
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments efficiently
- Fill tanks and assist with proper compressor use and maintenance
- Help customers with purchased or rental gear fitment and use, and complete all rental gear contracts
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer experiences and increase sales, providing all information on dive classes, discover SCUBA courses, rental gear and more
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or scheduling tours
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, offering product demos, and ensuring customer satisfaction at every touchpoint
- Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably within the dive or watersports industry
- Must have experience in SCUBA, Freediving or a similar industry
- Strong communication skills in English, bilingual Spanish a plus
- Knowledge of cash handling and POS systems
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive interactions
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
