Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools using proper cleaning techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas including dishwashing stations, prep areas, and storage spaces.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as ingredient prep or portioning under supervision.
- Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for service.
- Follow food handling safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to manage dishwashing schedules during busy service hours.
- Help with general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, trash disposal, and maintaining a sanitary environment.
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Familiarity with basic kitchen operations such as bussing tables or assisting in food preparation is a plus.
