As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of NEOGOV’s PowerDMS – Accreditation AI product strategy. This is a senior, hands-on technical product management role focused on AI-powered accreditation and compliance automation solutions used by public sector and enterprise customers. You will own product strategy, roadmap execution, technical requirements, user research, data-driven prioritization, customer discovery, beta planning, product metrics, and cross-functional delivery for Accreditation AI. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Data/AI, QA, Customer Success, Operations, Sales, and Marketing teams to deliver scalable SaaS features that support intelligent accreditation workflows, automated standards mapping, evidence retrieval, audit preparation, gap analysis, Smart Highlights, Draft with AI, and related AI-assisted product capabilities.

This position requires a deep understanding of software product management, SaaS platforms, AI-enabled workflows, compliance automation, accreditation processes, data analytics, Agile product development, APIs, web services, software development life cycle practices, user research, product performance measurement, quality assurance, and go-to-market execution. The role requires substantial technical fluency to evaluate product feasibility, AI system behavior, data quality, model performance, customer workflow requirements, engineering constraints, and the trade-offs required to deliver compliant, scalable, and reliable SaaS products.

What You Will Do

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Develop and manage the product strategy and roadmap for NEOGOV’s PowerDMS – Accreditation AI product area, aligning AI-powered accreditation and compliance automation initiatives with company goals, customer needs, market demands, technical feasibility, and NEOGOV’s broader SaaS platform strategy.

Accreditation AI Product Development

  • Lead the development and enhancement of AI-assisted accreditation features, including gap analysis, automated standards mappings, evidence retrieval workflows, Smart Highlights, Draft with AI, and related functionality designed to reduce manual compliance effort and improve accreditation readiness.

Technical Product Requirements

  • Define product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, success metrics, feature scope, and launch plans for new Accreditation AI features, ensuring that Engineering, Design, Data/AI, QA, and business stakeholders have clear and technically actionable specifications.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with Software Engineering, Machine Learning/Data, Design, QA, Customer Success, Operations, Sales, and Marketing teams to deliver solutions and enhancements for existing and new NEOGOV customers. Ensure that AI-assisted product features are usable, technically reliable, measurable, scalable, and aligned with customer requirements.

Customer Focus

  • Engage with customers to gather feedback, understand accreditation and compliance pain points, evaluate workflow challenges, and prioritize product enhancements. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer accreditation workflows, compliance obligations, evidence retrieval needs, audit preparation processes, and readiness reporting requirements.

Technical Analysis & Product Feasibility

  • Leverage technical knowledge of engineering, AI-enabled workflows, APIs, web services, data systems, and web-based applications to evaluate customer workflows and translate complex accreditation and compliance needs into scalable software product requirements.

Data Analytics & Performance Monitoring

  • Define key performance indicators for Accreditation AI features, including adoption, model accuracy, evidence retrieval speed, workflow automation rate, reduction in manual compliance effort, customer engagement, and accreditation readiness visibility. Monitor product performance, analyze trends, identify issues, and report product insights and recommendations to leadership.

Beta Programs & Product Validation

  • Lead customer discovery, beta program planning, pilot design, feedback loops, and product validation activities to ensure that new AI-powered accreditation features address real customer pain points and can be scaled before broader release.

Market & Competitive Analysis

  • Monitor software technology trends, AI product developments, compliance automation needs, accreditation requirements, customer expectations, and competitive conditions to evaluate how emerging capabilities should influence NEOGOV’s

Accreditation AI roadmap.

  • AI and Software Trade-Offs Analyze software development and AI product design challenges and work with engineering and data teams to make informed trade-offs involving user experience, data quality, model performance, system reliability, development timelines, scalability, compliance needs, and customer value.

Backlog Management

  • Organize and manage the software development product backlog through epics, detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, defect prioritization, feature enhancements, technical improvements, and strategic roadmap initiatives.

Product Lifecycle Ownership

  • Manage product life cycles from strategic planning through tactical delivery according to NEOGOV quality standards, including ideation, discovery, requirements definition, design review, engineering development, QA validation, launch readiness, release communication, and post-launch measurement.

Go-to-Market Strategy

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Operations teams to support go-to-market strategy for new Accreditation AI features, ensuring that product messaging clearly communicates customer value and supports adoption.

Agile Product Delivery

  • Use product management and development tools such as Jira, Aha!, analytics platforms, documentation systems, and related tools to organize product requirements, communicate priorities, track delivery, and support Agile software development practices.

Quality Assurance Collaboration

  • Work with Engineering and QA leads to ensure that test cases reflect real-life accreditation and compliance workflows and that delivered product features satisfy functional, technical, user, and business requirements.

Who You Are

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher, or foreign equivalent, in Product Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems or a closely related technical/product management field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-years of product management, technical product management, software product delivery, SaaS
  • product management, AI product management, data product management, enterprise software, or closely related experience.
  • Technical/Product Expertise: Experience with SaaS product development, Agile software development, product roadmaps, user stories, acceptance criteria, data analytics, software development life cycle practices, customer research, product performance metrics, QA collaboration, and cross-functional delivery with engineering and design teams.
  • AI/Data Product Knowledge: Experience or demonstrated knowledge involving AI-enabled product features, data-driven
  • workflows, model evaluation, workflow automation, data quality, AI-assisted user experiences, analytics platforms, or comparable technical product environments.
  • Software/Product Tools: Proficiency with product management, analytics, collaboration, or design tools such as Jira, Aha!,
  • Tableau, Looker, Figma, Balsamiq, SQL, Excel, documentation systems, or similar tools.
  • Technical Fluency: Ability to work effectively with teams building and maintaining SaaS-based software applications using APIs, web services, databases, web-based applications, and modern software development frameworks. Familiarity with technologies such as Microsoft .NET Framework, ASP.Net MVC, AngularJS, JavaScript, Microsoft SQL Server, C#, TypeScript, Backbone.js, HTML5, CSS3, LESS, or comparable technologies is strongly preferred.
