Project Engineer – Data Center Construction (Charlotte, NC)
Hyperscale Data Centers | Mission Critical | Large-Scale Construction
We’re partnering with a leading U.S. general contractor delivering hyperscale data center and mission-critical projects across the country. They are currently seeking a Project Engineer to join a major data center build in Charlotte, NC.
This is a field-driven, high-visibility role where you’ll support project leadership in the execution of one of the region’s key large-scale data center developments.

Charlotte, North Carolina
(Some travel may be required depending on project phase and client needs)
🔧 What You’ll Be Doing
- Support day-to-day project engineering on a hyperscale data center project
- Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and design coordination
- Assist with constructability reviews and resolution of field/design issues
- Support project controls including cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting
- Coordinate with MEP, CSA, commissioning, and field teams
- Maintain project documentation and systems (e.g., Prolog)
- Participate in project and client meetings
- Support schedule execution on a fast-track, mission-critical project
- Help identify and mitigate technical and delivery risks
🎯 What We’re Looking For
- 3 years of construction engineering or project engineering experience
- Data center, mission-critical, or large-scale commercial/industrial experience preferred (not required)
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
- Strong understanding of construction processes, coordination, and documentation
- Ability to work in fast-paced, field-based environments
- Strong communication and organizational skills
