Legal Service Coordinator

Nelson & Kennard, an established and growing, Sacramento area law firm, is looking for a dynamic Service Coordinator to join our growing team! We are seeking someone who is eager, organized, professional, and takes pride in their work. This individual will report to the Business Relations Manager and will be responsible for communications between process servers and the firm, specifically assisting in the process of serving suits. The right candidate must be able to multi-task, think critically, take initiative, ability to meet deadlines, and a strong desire to learn. This is an onsite position in Sacramento county.

Please note that this is an entry to mid-level position and experience is a plus, but not necessary. We are willing to train the right candidate.

Duties:

In this position, the applicant will perform a wide range of analytical and clerical tasks, which may include but are not limited to:

· Handling and coordinating the process of serving suits

· Generating reports and communicating over the phone and by email

· Drafting legal documents

· Collaborating with internal management and other personnel in regard to the suit process

· Monitoring and focusing on suit statuses

Qualifications:

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; demonstrated understanding of correct grammar, spelling and punctuation

· Excellent judgment and discretion

· Strong time management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks concurrently

· Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, attention to detail and resourcefulness

· Ability to work independently and take direction from others

· Experience working in a fast-paced environment

· Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for the work that is performed; willing to take the extra effort to get the job done right the first time.

· Graduation from high school or GED; some college or business school desirable.
