Entry Level Accounting Clerk

Nelson & Kennard, an established and growing, Sacramento area law firm, is looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our growing team! We are seeking someone who is eager, organized, professional, and takes pride in their work. This individual will report to the Accounting Manager. Candidates must be able to multi-task, handle deadlines, and have exceptional attention to detail. Accounting & Excel experience are a plus but is not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.

Duties:

· Bank account reconciliations

· Bank transfers

· Processing remits (wires)

· Researching accounts for balance adjustments and other purposes

· Cross training in various accounting functions

· Miscellaneous filing and various clerical responsibilities

Ideal Candidates:

· Strong Microsoft Office experience

· Microsoft Excel skills (experience with vlookup and other advanced formulas desired)

· Must be fast at typing; 10 key by touch (12K/kph minimum)

· Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail

· Must be self-sufficient, self-driven and inquisitive

· Eager to learn

· Must be able to stay focused on the task at hand

· Must be able to work in a fast pace, high volume, goal-oriented environment

· Effective verbal communication skills and time management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour
