System Network Administrator

Job Summary

The Systems and Network Administrator is responsible for supporting and improving core infrastructure across network, server, endpoint, and business application environments. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience in systems and network administration, a service-first mindset, and the ability to support both office and remote-site operations while helping build scalable, secure, and well-documented IT standards.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, and enhance network, server, virtualization, and core infrastructure systems across the organization.
• Administer and troubleshoot switching, routing, VLANs, VPNs, wireless networks, DNS, DHCP, and related connectivity services.
• Support Cisco-based network environments and help maintain secure, reliable network performance.
• Administer firewall environments, with Palo Alto experience strongly preferred.
• Manage Windows Server environments and related infrastructure services.
• Support virtualization platforms, including Proxmox where applicable.
• Provide technical support for remote offices, branch locations, and distributed work environments.
• Troubleshoot issues across network, server, endpoint, and application layers.
• Create and maintain clear, accurate, and useful technical documentation.

Qualifications

• 5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, systems administration, infrastructure support, or a similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of network administration, infrastructure services, and troubleshooting across multiple technology layers.
• Experience supporting Cisco network environments.
• Experience administering firewalls; Palo Alto experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience administering Windows Server and core infrastructure services.
• Experience supporting remote offices, branch locations, or distributed work environments.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical users.

• Experience with VMware 9.
• Experience with Palo Alto virtual firewalls.
• Experience with Proxmox virtualization and open-source infrastructure tools.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
• Experience with endpoint management and device provisioning.
• Experience with backup and recovery platforms.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools.
• Experience in construction, architecture, engineering, or other project-based business environments.
• Experience supporting cloud-hosted business applications and vendor-managed platforms.
• Experience supporting secure job-site or remote-office connectivity.
