Maintenance and Engineering DirectorCompensation: $175,000 – $190,000 annuallyLocation: Sonoma CountyThe Director of Maintenance & Engineering will lead maintenance and engineering operations for a fast-paced, premium food processing and distribution environment. This role is critical to ensuring operational reliability, equipment efficiency, regulatory compliance, and safety across 24/7 operations.This leader is accountable for executing daily operational plans and delivering measurable results across labor and maintenance costs, equipment uptime, waste reduction (ingredients, and packaging), and continuous improvement—while building and sustaining a high-performing technical organization.Key ResponsibilitiesLead maintenance and engineering strategies to ensure continuous, 24/7 operational reliability of production systems, utilities, and facilitiesPartner with Operations leadership to drive process improvements, cost controls, and equipment performance optimizationOversee the development and execution of SOPs, automation standards, and preventive/predictive maintenance programsManage capital equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, and vendor relationshipsLeverage KPIs and CMMS data to improve asset utilization, reduce downtime, and increase efficiencyChampion safety, quality, sanitation, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facilityEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or equivalent technical backgroundExperience in food or beverage manufacturing (dairy strongly preferred)Progressive leadership experienceStrong expertise in CMMS systems, AutoCAD/SolidWorks, and PLC platforms (Rockwell/Allen Bradley, Siemens)Proven success managing CapEx budgets, leading process improvements, and negotiating vendor contractsWorking knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and food safety regulationsCompany DescriptionIf You’re Looking For A New Opportunity, The Recruiting And Staffing Experts At Nelson Connects Can Help.
