JOB SUMMARY
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and management of IT systems and networks, with an emphasis on security and resilience. Manages all systems integrations and automations in a complex, highly automated technology environment. Acts as a systems expert for both existing and newly acquired enterprise technology systems, and provides backup and escalated general IT support as needed.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Systems Management:
● Serves as the primary administrator for IT systems, including: Google Workspace, OneLogin, RingCentral, Crowdstrike, Spin, ManageEngine, and more.
● Regularly audits IT systems to ensure they perform as designed, and identify potential enhancements to performance, reliability, and security.
● Troubleshoots system failures and performance issues, and implements corrective actions to restore functionality in a timely manner.
● Assists with the research, selection, design, buildout, and deployment of new IT systems and infrastructure.
● Produces documentation of IT systems to ensure that their functions, processes, and workflows are properly documented, and ensures that documentation is clear, accurate, and up-to-date.
Network Administration:
● Provides complete network engineering/administration for wired and wireless networks, equipment, routing, firewall management, DNS, and all other networking aspects.
● Configures, and regularly audits, network equipment to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
● Troubleshoots network failures and performance issues, and implements corrective actions to restore functionality in a timely manner.
● Creates and maintains clear, accurate, and up-to-date network diagrams and documentation.
Hardware, Software, and Device Management:
● Creates and deploys OS images, software packages, security patches, and device configurations using MDM.
● Provides escalated support for Windows, Apple/Mac, and Android/Chrome device issues.
● Ensures that device security risks are mitigated through the use of antivirus software and other available threat mitigation systems and practices.
● Assists in the inventory and license management of all hardware and software resources.
IT Security and Compliance:
● Ensures that network and IT systems comply with security best practices and HIPAA regulations.
● Aids in the development, implementation, and management of IT security initiatives.
● Assists in the development, review, and testing of Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan, Security Playbooks, and related materials.
IT Support:
● Primarily provides Tier 3 technical support as a devices and systems expert for issues escalated by Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, and also provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 support as needed/directed.
● Resolves IT support requests in an effective, efficient, and professional manner, with a strong emphasis on customer service and relationship building.
● Adheres to SLAs and other metrics related to IT support.
REQUIREMENTS:
● Associate’s degree in a related field, or minimum of 3 years of equivalent work experience as an IT Systems Administrator.
● Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, project scheduling, quality assurance testing, preparing documentation and specifications, and technical writing.
● Proficiency, or the ability to quickly gain proficiency, in the administration of: Google Workspace; SSO systems; threat detection and mitigation systems; MDM systems; VoIP systems; storage and backup systems; identity management; automation; email encryption; helpdesk ticketing systems; network design, implementation, and support; and other applicable IT systems and infrastructure; as well as Windows, Apple/Mac, and Android/Chrome devices.
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
