Accounting Manager / Business ManagerSanta Rosa, CA - onsiteYou are an Accounting & Business Manager responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining financial and business policies and procedures. This role oversees all accounting functions, financial reporting, human resources administration, insurance coordination, and contract development to ensure efficient and compliant business operations.This position pays: $48.00 to $50.00 per hourWhat you will be doing:Manage daily financial activities including accounting operations, business planning, and budget preparation and controlOversee all accounts payable functions, including preparation and submission of sales taxesManage accounts receivable, balance and record daily sales and receipts for all business unitsPrepare monthly and quarterly invoices for related business unitsPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as custom financial reports for management, special projects, and eventsEnsure compliance with company policies and procedures, and applicable state and federal regulationsAdminister insurance programs including business liability, workers’ compensation, and employee benefits (health, dental, vision, life) in coordination with the General Manager and TreasurerReconcile and review timesheets; process payroll data and maintain payroll recordsMaintain employee information and benefits dataOversee onboarding and termination documentation; maintain employee files and handbookFoster a culture of teamwork and strong work ethicsMaintain regular communication with management regarding financial and operational activitiesWhat you bring:Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, payroll processing, and compliance requirementsExperience with accounting software systems, Sage a plusProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Self-starter with the ability to analyze situations and develop solutions with minimal supervisionStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectivelyDemonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and support a teamExcellent written and verbal communication skillsFlexibility to work varying hours as business needs requireTo learn more about the workplace culture and the position, please apply!For over 50 years, Nelson Connects has empowered employers and job seekers to achieve their unique versions of success.
