Duties
- Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, vital signs, and updating electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including explaining processes and ensuring comfort.
- Perform clinical tasks such as administering medications, and assisting with minor procedures in inpatient settings.
- Support physicians with documentation of medical records, ICD coding, and detailed medical documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and follow-up communications to optimize clinic efficiency.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of clinical areas, equipment, and supplies in accordance with clinic protocols.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and ICD coding principles.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and EMR/EHR management tools to document patient encounters accurately.
- Proficiency in basic life support (BLS), medication administration, and vital signs collection.
- Ability to deliver compassionate patient service while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
- Excellent organizational skills for managing medical records, documentation accuracy, and clinic workflows.
