Job Summary:
Nederman Shared Services is looking for an engaged and driven Controller for their Process technology (PT) Americas division based in their office in Charlotte, NC. PT americas delivers complex clean air solutions Projects and services to the North American market. As a Controller, you will be part of the global finance function and report to the CFO of Nederman Americas with a dotted to VP of Nederman PT Americas. For the right person, this position can lead to opportunities and development within the Nederman group which operates in 30 countries in 5 continents.
Responsibilities include overall responsibility for accounting, reporting and performance follow up; ensure the accurate treatment of Project Accounting and revenue recognition (percentage of Completion), ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial reporting on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis; explaining historical performance and deviations to plans; reporting budgets and estimates, and presenting financials to management. The role is supported by two accountants dedicated to Nederman PT Americas.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overall accounting & reporting of 3 business units’ P&L and balance sheets in local ERP system (IFS cloud) and Group consolidation system (IBM Cognos)
- Ensure timely reporting of P&L and balance sheet according to the group Financial calendar.
- Ensure the accurate treatment of Project Accounting and revenue recognition (percentage of Completion
- Preparation and presentation of monthly financial results and deviations to plan
- Ensure implementation of proper accounting procedures and reconciliation schedules
- Work with Sales and Operations to report backlog orders and sales on a weekly basis
- Ensuring timely reporting of Estimates and budget
Job Specifications:
- Education/certifications required: BS Degree in Accounting or Business required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industry or public accounting in an accounting, experience in percentage of completion accounting preferred.
- Strong ERP skills.
- Knowledge of IFS Software experience preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
