Purpose of Position: To provide excellent private cremation services to veterinarians, their clients, and the general public.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Perform all aspects of the cremation process including: loading, unloading, processing and packaging of remains.
- Transport deceased pets from veterinary clinic to Rainbow Bridge facility in company vehicle
- Place orders for engraving with offsite company via email
- Prepare and perform clay paw impressions
- Label sympathy cards to clients
- Perform data entry of customer intake as well as payments received and payments due
- Delivering pets ashes to participating veterinarians
- Communicate with veterinarians or clients regarding their deceased pets via phone, email and/or in person
Position Qualifications: Education, Experience, Certification, and Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Must have a good knowledge of city streets
- Must be able to communicate clearly and compassionately both verbally and in writing
- Ability to exercise independent judgment
- Must be able to work cordially, safely and efficiently in fast-paced, stressful conditions.
- Maturity, good judgment, professional manner, and professional appearance
Desired
- Customer service experience
- Windows/Microsoft Word experience
- Experience in a Veterinary clinic, Animal welfare field or Pet Crematory/Funeral Home
Work Conditions:

- Minimum 40 hours per week
- The noise level in the office environment is usually quiet, though barking or whining of animals may be escalated at certain times in certain areas of the building.
- High exposure to animals whose reactions to the shelter environment cannot be predicted.
- Temperatures in the shelter environment are varied, though usually moderate, and dependent on the season.
- Potential exposure to zoonotic diseases and hazardous chemicals.
- Ability to work around animals without severe allergic reactions.
