Job Description: Manufacturing Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Manages the manufacturing team in the day-to-day operations.
- Plans and develops behaviors in the production staff.
- Actively promotes and drives a culture of continuous improvement.
- Structures and maintains a positive, productive, and communicative team-based work environment where associates are empowered, accountable, driven, and continually developing to achieve optimal results.
- Fosters a “safety first” culture through training and evaluation, and ensures facility and associate compliance with federal, state, and local EH&S laws and regulations
- Manages resources appropriately to ensure the completion of deliverables and delivery of optimal service to customers. Manages labor expenses including overtime at the facility to be within or under budget or approved levels.
- Ensures the appropriate staffing, cleaning, and operation of all site equipment.
- Utilizes systems and processes to track and optimize productivity standards, metrics, and performance targets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in a key leadership/management role in a manufacturing facility (automotive manufacturing experience required).
- Strong business acumen (management principles, critical thinking, lean, budgeting, resource allocation, etc.).
- Bachelor’s Degree in a field relevant to a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
