IT Site Services Technician

Job Description: NCS Global Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Celestica, is seeking a full-time IT Site Services Technician for its Rochester, NH office.

Job Summary

This role is primarily responsible for installing and configuring PCs, maintaining and upgrading clients, applications and operating systems as well as handling site information security. Other responsibilities include attending to IT technical problems reported within the facility. This role will require occasional extended hours and/or weekend work.

Regular Duties:

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

• Regular on-site attendance/punctuality is a necessary function of this position.
• Information security responsibilities include: monitoring networks, identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security patches, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with the company information security policies.
• Provides direct support on all IT technical problems at the facility.
• Completes computer setup, operating system on clients software.
• Provides daily support to end users and resolves inquiries for assistance.
• Assists with other IT related matters.
• Other job-related tasks as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies:

• Customer service orientation.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication (both oral and written).
• Good knowledge of the Windows OS (server and client) and the desktop operating environment.
• Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts as well as infrastructure diagnostic tools and processes.
• Fundamental knowledge of end-point security management tools and processes.

Physical Demands:

• Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

Typical Experience:

• No less than one year of experience in similar role(s).

Typical Education:

• An associate’s degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
