About the Position
As a Job Developer, you will play a key role in helping individuals with disabilities achieve their employment goals. Youll work one-on-one with clients, help match them to suitable jobs, provide training and on-the-job support, and build relationships with local businesses. Youll be a part of a supportive team, under the supervision of the Program Coordinator, and work within the Individual Placement Department. We are looking someone motivated to actively support our non-profit's mission, vision and values through community outreach!
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on job training and vocational instruction to clients
- Identify and develop job opportunities by networking with local employers
- Conduct job market research and analyze employment trends
- Maintain strong relationships with employers to ensure ongoing client success
- Place at least two clients in employment per quarter (when referrals are available)
- Coordinate with Job Coaches to meet employer expectations
- Facilitate Job Preparation classes and quarterly job club events
- Participate in community outreach and employment-related events
- Maintain accurate records, evaluations, and documentation

- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable with public interaction
- Familiar with our agency and our mission
- Knows our local community: Atascadero, Templeton, and Paso Robles
- Experienced in working with people with disabilities OR has transferable skills from sales, customer service, or community outreach
- Organized and self-motivated with strong time management skills
- Bilingual (a plus, not required)
- Basic Technology and Computer Skills
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid California Drivers License & reliable transportation (driving is required)
- Proof of current auto insurance
- Acceptable driving record (as per agencys insurance policy)
- Ability to pass DOJ/FBI fingerprint background check
