Navy Beach Restaurant, a high-volume waterfront destination in Montauk entering its 17th season, is seeking an experienced Floor Manager to join our front-of-house leadership team for the 2026 season. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who excels at guest service, team leadership, and smooth service execution in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily floor operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences
- Assign servers to sections and manage service flow during shifts
- Support FOH staff during service and assist with service recovery
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest questions and concerns
- Collaborate with kitchen and management teams to maintain efficiency
- Interview, hire, train, and coach FOH team members
- Assist with scheduling, staffing coverage, and shift organization
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and cash-handling procedures
- Perform opening and closing duties as assigned
- Track inventory needs and communicate operational issues to management
Qualifications
- 3 years of hospitality experience; management experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Guest-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Experience with Micros POS, Resy, Avero, and Excel a plus
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
