Job Title: Travel CT Technologist (CT Tech)

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift Details
- Weekly Hours: 32, 36, or 40 hours
- Primary Schedule: Every Saturday & Sunday (16-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM)
- Additional Hours: Optional 4 or 8-hour shift available during the week (flexible scheduling)
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to perform high-quality computed tomography (CT) procedures across designated anatomical areas as ordered by physicians. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient-centered care while adhering to radiation safety standards.
This is a travel assignment, and candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility to be eligible.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging procedures with precision and independent judgment
- Operate CT scanners and control consoles for diagnostic imaging
- Select appropriate imaging techniques based on physician orders
- Ensure proper patient positioning and use of immobilization devices
- Monitor and maintain imaging equipment, including calibration checks
- Evaluate images for technical quality and accuracy
- Explain procedures to patients and address concerns to ensure comfort and cooperation
- Assist physicians and clinical staff during procedures as needed
- Administer contrast media when trained and authorized
- Maintain accurate documentation and radiology records
- Follow infection control, safety, and quality assurance protocols
- Apply radiation safety principles to minimize exposure
- Coordinate workflow to maintain efficiency and timely imaging completion
- Participate in continuing education and professional development
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Graduate of an AMA-accredited Radiography Program
- ARRT certification required
- Massachusetts State License in Radiation Control required
- CT certification (ARRT CT or accredited CT program) required
- Minimum:
- 3 years of Radiologic Technologist experience OR
- 1 year of recent CT Tech experience (within the last 5 years)
- Current BLS certification required
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Must meet travel eligibility requirement (outside 50-mile radius)
